Annie Hines, LAc, AEMP, LMT

Annie is a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, Arvigo Practitioner of Maya Abdominal Therapy, and licensed massage practitioner.  With her specialized training in the treatment of women’s health, Annie is one of the only practitioners in the Greater Seattle area who can combine Maya Abdominal Therapy with acupuncture and Chinese medicine.  Annie’s expertise in combining these modalities has provided her clients great success in the treatment of fertility issues, pregnancy symptoms, and postpartum conditions. Annie treats each patient as a unique individual and takes the whole person into account—mind, body and spirit—each treatment is a blend of several modalities.

Annie is also skilled at treating general health concerns, including chronic/acute pain, allergies, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, headaches, and other acute and chronic ailments. Acupuncture is a complete system of medicine and therefore it can be utilized to treat most conditions that you may be experiencing.

Annie received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. She is licensed in the state of Washington and is NCCAOM board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine.  She completed an externship at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specializing in gynecology and women’s health.  Annie completed the practitioner training in the Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) at the Arvigo Institute, LLC in New Hampshire. While there, she was inspired to extend her training with Dr. Rosita, learning even more about ‘Supporting Pregnancy from Pre-Conception to Post Partum’.  Annie’s specialty training in the treatment of women throughout their pregnancy led her to complete the Big Belly Services Doula Program in the summer of 2009 where she gained more insight into how to support women during this time.
