Maya Abdominal Therapy For Conception

Maya abdominal therapy (MAT) is an integral part of any preconception treatment plan.  When reproductive organs shift, they can constrict blood flow, reduce lymphatic drainage, and disrupt nerve connections.  MAT gently repositions and aligns the uterus and resolves physical stagnations; thereby increasing blood flow to the entire pelvic and abdominal cavity.  Toxins are flushed out and nutrients that help to tone tissue and balance hormones are restored to normal order.  This balance is essential for a healthy pregnancy.

MAT can address the following:

  • Poor uterine lining
  • Egg quality
  • Uterine polyps or fibroids
  • Scar tissue from previous surgery or inflammation
  • Pelvic adhesions
  • Recurring miscarriages
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Retroflexed uterus
  • Pelvic pain
  • Pain with intercourse
  • Stress reduction

Maya Abdominal Therapy and timed intercourse or IUI support

Ideally we ask patients to abstain from trying to conceive for 3 consecutive cycles, and commit to a minimum of one treatment per cycle in order to enhance fertility.  Maya Abdominal therapy can be received at any time during a women’s cycle, but the most optimal time is right after menses and before ovulation.  The techniques are modified during other times of the cycle and are still effective.

Maya Abdominal Therapy and IVF support

Ideally patients should begin receiving treatment once a cycle for three consecutive cycles prior to beginning an IVF cycle.  During an IVF cycle a treatment should be scheduled during the suppression phase and if possible between the retrieval and transfer.
